Bodkins | New Dear Ewe Stockist

We are absolutely delighted to welcome sisters, Sandie and Max at Bodkins Haberdashery, to our Crafty Ewe Tribe as a new Dear Ewe stockist. 

Bodkins is a yarn, crochet, knitting and haberdashery shop in Essex with something for everyone.

The little woolly empire is stacked literally to the rafters with all things yarn related and "we are now delighted to be part of the Crafty Ewe tribe!" says Sandie.

In pre-lockdown times Bodkins had become a destination yarn shop for many visitors from all around Essex and further afield. Sandie says; "many of our regular customers refer to Bodkins as their “Happy Place” and we have a marvellous community here.

We usually offer many classes, social sessions and courses in crochet, knitting and felting.....sadly we cannot offer them at present due to COVID-19 and social distancing requirements - we take the upmost care to keep our customers safe,"

At the moment the Bodkins team are working hard to keep their customers busy and creative during our time at home, and so are still providing yarn, patterns, accessories, haberdashery and all things Bodkins for the duration of lockdown.

They have been offering shop door collections and free local deliveries (minimum £10.00 spend) as well as offering individual video shopping appointments via FaceTime which helps customers to achieve a far better colour appreciation, while getting lots of information, hints and tips - more like an old fashioned in-house visit.

Customers can also contact them for pattern help and stitch demonstrations for crochet and knitting by video call but as Sandie says "we cannot wait to get back to a shop full of creativity, tea and cake!"
